prof. MUDr. Michal Vrablík, Ph.D., MHA
Prof. MUDr. Michal Vrablík, Ph.D., MHA is a professor of internal medicine at the 3rd Internal Medicine Clinic of the General Faculty Hospital and the 1st Faculty of Medicine, Charles University in Prague and the president of the Czech Society for Atherosclerosis. He is the author of over four hundred peer-reviewed publications and also serves on the board of the International Atherosclerosis Society. He co-creates best practices for reducing the risk of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD). As part of the HX Scientific Council, he is the creator of clinical procedures in the field of prevention of atherosclerotic vascular disease, connecting cardiometabolic, genetic and behavioral data into a comprehensive long-term approach. It is in this area that the largest proportion of premature, preventable deaths can be influenced and the most significant successes can be achieved. Risk factors for cardiovascular diseases significantly overlap with the risks of cancer – and behavioral procedures also work in the prevention of neurodegenerative diseases.
