Inflammation control

prof. Jakub Abramson, PhD

prof. Jakub Abramson, Ph.D.

Professor Abramson is an internationally recognized leader in the field of immunological tolerance and autoimmunity. His work has led to the discovery of novel mechanisms of immunological tolerance, new immune cell populations and the identification of previously unrecognized autoimmune disorders. He is a professor of immunology at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel, where he leads his own research group. His laboratory combines classical immunology, molecular biology and multiomics approaches with mouse models and patient-based studies, advancing our understanding of the immune system and how its dysfunction causes autoimmune and autoinflammatory diseases. As a member of the HX Scientific Council, Professor Abramson translates this knowledge into scientifically sound strategies that help reduce pro-inflammatory immune activation and deliver measurable clinical improvement through targeted interventions.
