Mgr. et Mgr. Ján Cvečka, Ph.D.

Mgr. et Mgr. Ján Cvečka, Ph.D. is a university teacher and physiotherapist, researcher at the Faculty of Sports Studies of Masaryk University, and is active at the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Rehabilitation and Electrostimulation in Vienna. He investigates the use of physical activity in improving performance, physical fitness and health and has long specialized in the development of alternative methods and devices for the diagnosis and development of physical fitness. In his research, he emphasizes a translational approach at the intersection of sports, biological-medical and technical sciences. He is the author and co-author of more than 80 scientific publications, co-author of Czech recommendations for functional fitness and exercise prescription and co-author of a book on physical activity for seniors. As part of the HX Scientific Council, he translates scientific knowledge into everyday practice so that targeted and individualized training leads to measurable improvements in physical fitness, health and quality of life.
